MARINA VAN DIJKE
Nature has a unique ability to overwhelm the senses, awaken the mind, refresh the spirit.
I find inspiration in the fascinating shapes and structures found in the natural world and seek to translate them into wearable pieces, working quite intuitively. I aim to fuse the organic and the more abstract shape into a contemporary piece, while always keeping wearability and elegance in the back of my mind.
My jewellery leans to the raw, not too polished side. Each design is hand carved and each piece is cast by hand in my studio in Amsterdam in sterling silver or solid 14 or 18K gold (on request). Any small, natural imperfections in the surface that come with the casting process I embrace, so each piece has unique variations.
I don't work by seasons, but like my collections to form and grow organically, so more items may be added to them over time.
I am open to personalized commissions such as wedding rings. Contact me for more information. See under 'commissions' for examples of past commissions.
